
The Tangalooma Wrecks are located just off the beach at Moreton Island, about a 75-minute ferry ride from Brisbane. They consist of 15 purpose-sunk ships that were deliberately scuttled between 1963 and 1984 to create a safe harbour for small boats — and they’ve since transformed into an fantastic artificial reef

The wrecks are now teeming with marine life! Expect:Tropical fish (snapper, trevally, parrotfish, and wrasse) Wobbegongs and stingrays. Sea turtles, occasional dolphins and dugongs.
