This is a wreck dive site of a sunken Sri Lankan people smuggler. The vessel carried a load of refugees to the Australian mainland. Coast Watch photographed the vessel, however, it was unable to apprehend while in Australian waters. A week later she arrived at Cocos Islands claiming to be poor lost fishermen.
Marine life at this site
Most of the wreck has now broken up and is spread across the bottom. The exception is a piece of the hull under the engines.
