Twenty five mins east of Papatura lies a SBD Dauntless Dive Bomber plane wreck. The plane lays on a sandy bottom at twenty three meters deep. This site is close to land but is exposed to large swell if high winds occur. This site isn’t effected by current.

This wreck lays flat on a sandy bottom. It is in tact and easy to tell what it is. There is a reef close by with large array of fish species to look at after the plane.
