The Adelaide is a former warship scuttled in April 2011 as an artificial reef. Since its sinking, the wreck has proven its worth by providing homes to numerous fish species and is an ideal research area for local Marine Science students from the nearby university.

Critters at this site

Schools of kingfish have made the Adelaide their permanent home along with Wobbegong sharks and other benthic species. Several nurse sharks now are frequently spotted as well.
