
The South side of Halifax point is a shallow reef on top at about 8m/25 ft and gently slopes to about 11m/35ft where it drops to a bottom ranging from 24m/ 70ft to over 40m/130ft.

Frogfish have been seen here regularly, but Tarpon and large black grouper on the outer wall are a regular feature.
