
The reef platform of the northern sector of the island descends in a wall that goes from 8 to 21 meters deep. On the way down, the reef forms coral ledges with limestone sandy bottoms, where nurse sharks are frequently found.
Marine life at this site
The wall of the Cornice is colonized by black whip corals, where we can see tiny pencil shrimps. Stingrays are frequent on the sandy bottom at 21 meters.
